The client needed help with an expansion of an existing workspace to provide improved environment for a dedicated distribution and support team, and refurbishment of existing meeting rooms. New high spec meeting spaces were created with sliding operable walls, sophisticated double glazed seamless doors and walls. An atmospheric window film was applied that provides privacy and partial visibility at the same time. Acoustically the meeting rooms were transformed as were the light values, essential for a space specifically designed for business development.
The replaced light fittings reduce energy consumption by 60% per fitting with high frequency controls further increased by movement sensors. These PIR sensors also comply with LG7 requirements, this means that the light levels have been proven to improve light distribution and improve the work environment, a detail that our client – a busy Facilities Manager – felt was important. New carpet tiles and vinyl wall coverings in brand colours added to the transformation.
Cannon Davis suggested a bespoke product display be built at the entrance point to the office. The resulting floor to ceiling construction blended seamlessly with the existing structural walls with equispaced white pilasters and flush inset glass shelves backlit by LED colour change lighting. This brought the retail values of the business into the head quarters in a manner that is stylish and contemporary, but also very economical.
The end result has made the workspace a far better advertisement for the company and we have had feedback from staff that they feel good about their workspace, and are proud to bring their customers into the newly branded environment. The company have invested in their built environment wisely, and have happier more productive staff as a result.
